📄 Boletín (Certificado de Instalación)
Boletín Eléctrico for your electrical installation in Spain
A Boletín Eléctrico — officially the Certificado de Instalación Eléctrica (CIE) — confirms that an electrical installation complies with current Spanish regulations. As an officially licensed Electricista Autorizado, I am authorized to issue these certificates myself — quickly, legally sound, and without going through a third party.

What is a Boletín Eléctrico and when is it needed?
A Boletín Eléctrico is the official certificate for an electrical installation in Spain. It’s required to prove to the energy supplier that the system complies with current regulations (REBT).
The document can only be issued by an officially licensed electrical installation company (Empresa Instaladora Autorizada).
🏠 New construction For every new electrical installation.
⚡ Capacity increase (Potencia) When the contractually agreed connection capacity is to be increased.
🔧 Changes to the installation For significant changes or extensions to the electrical system.
⏸ Reactivation after extended shutdown When required by the energy supplier.
📅 After expiry of validity A Boletín is generally valid for up to 20 years. In certain cases, however, the grid operator may require a new certificate sooner.

How does the Boletín Eléctrico issuance process work?
↓ 1️⃣ Inspection of the installation
↓ 2️⃣ Technical assessment of the electrical installation
↓ 3️⃣ Discussion of any adjustments that may be required
↓ 4️⃣ Preparation of the necessary documents
- Certificado de Instalación (Boletín Eléctrico)
- MTD, or — if required — Proyecto Técnico
↓ 5️⃣ Submission and registration with the Consejería de Industria
6️⃣ The electricity supplier (e.g., Endesa) can then establish the grid connection or carry out the desired contract change (e.g., capacity increase).
Good to know
To register an electrical installation with the Consejería de Industria, at least a Memoria Técnica de Diseño (MTD) is generally required in addition to the Certificado de Instalación (Boletín Eléctrico). For larger or more technically complex installations, a Proyecto Técnico replaces the MTD. In certain cases, an additional inspection by an OCA (Organismo de Control Autorizado) is also required.
Not sure whether you need a Boletín Eléctrico?
Not every change to an electrical installation automatically requires a new Boletín Eléctrico. Whether a CI, CAI, an MTD, a Proyecto Técnico, or other documents are needed in your case can usually be clarified quickly.
I’ll review your situation and explain clearly which steps are actually necessary — before any unnecessary costs arise.
