Why this book was written
When I came to Spain many years ago, I quickly realized that electrical engineering here differs significantly from Germany in many respects. Although the underlying laws of physics are, of course, the same, standards, installation methods, and administrative procedures can differ considerably.
This book grew out of the wish to explain these differences clearly — not just for electricians, but also for homeowners, builders, and anyone who wants to better understand Spanish electrical engineering.
It’s not a substitute for a collection of standards. Rather, it provides the background knowledge needed to better understand and assess Spanish electrical installations.
